South Asia is home to more than a quarter of the world’s total population.
Most people live in rural areas with limited access to clean water, proper nutrition and sanitation services which makes these populations vulnerable to many otherwise preventable diseases. Number of people suffering from kidney diseases, hepatitis, malaria and many other infectious diseases is increasing at a dangerous rate.
Most people suffering from such diseases don’t have access to basic health care facilities which makes their situation even worse.
We are trying to help people in these communities get access to free medicines like antibiotics, antimalarial and other life saving drugs.
Another initiative we are taking is setting up kidney dialysis centers. People suffering from kidney disease need dialysis regularly and because of higher costs associated with the treatment, many people are unable to afford it. We are hoping that by adding more dialysis machines and technicians to local healthcare facilities would take care of this issue and would help improve quality of life for these patients.
We are also involved in creating awareness programs for immunization drives for diseases like polio which are still prevalent in these regions.
Some other projects we are working towards are providing diagnostic equipment like ultrasound machines and setting up mobile labs for a quick basic blood work.
